The biochar produced by the return is a natural water reservoir and enables the earth to store water better.

In dry areas or during a dry period, the soil can hold more moisture and the plants thrive better. This means that a soil enriched with pyrolytic charcoal allows for a higher agricultural yield.

It is our intention that this alternative coal should not only be used for cooking in households, but that the profitability of small tea and coffee farmers should also improve.

Since my tea and coffee brand TenfarmersandBananas is planning to make small tea farmers ready for organic cultivation so that they get a higher yield for their tea and coffee, this is at least as important an aspect, which is why we need the Vario L. To this end, this year we held promising talks with GIZ regarding possible financing of organic certificates for smallholders.
